Joel E. Barthelemy, Founder and Managing Director of GlobalMed®—the worldwide leader in real-time healthcare delivery systems—presented actress and singer Jennifer Lopez with a $50,000 check towards the Lopez Family Foundation, which supports the health and wellbeing of women and children through telemedicine. The check was given in honor of Lopez and the foundation being named the winner of the 2013 American Telemedicine Association (ATA) Humanitarian Award. Barthelemy presented the check to Lopez on Wednesday, March 6 in Los Angeles following a video Lopez made for the ATA annual conference in Austin, TX.

GlobalMed—the worldwide leader in real-time healthcare delivery systems—announces it is the recipient of this year’s IMPACT award for Entrepreneurial Excellence in the small to medium-sized business category from the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. This is the first year GlobalMed has applied for, and won, the award, which recognizes companies that have made a significant impact on the greater Phoenix business community.

GlobalMed®, worldwide leader in real-time healthcare delivery systems, announces it has been chosen as a finalist for the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Business Ethics Award for 2013. This is the first time the company has applied for and been named a finalist for the award, which was established in 2002.

GlobalMed is the recipient of the “Emerging Entrepreneur Award,” given by the prestigious W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. GlobalMed received the award at the W.P. Carey School’s 2012 Spirit of Enterprise Awards ceremony held Nov. 1 with more than 600 business and community leaders present for the luncheon at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix.
The awards honored five companies based in Arizona that have made noteworthy contributions by creating jobs, donating to charities, overcoming adversity and promoting innovation.

The Technology Fast 500 provides a ranking of the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies – both public and private. This year, GlobalMed jumped 64 places in the 2012 Deloitte Technology Fast 500™, the pre-eminent technology awards program in North America, and is ranked as the Number 58 company. In 2011, the Scottsdale, Arizona-based company debuted on the list at Number 122.
GlobalMed’s 2,533% growth in revenues from 2007 to 2012 also propelled it into second place among the fastest growing firms in Deloitte’s “Medical Device” category.

Deloitte ranked GlobalMed as Number 122 overall and the eighth fastest growing Medical Equipment firm in its 2011 list.
