GlobalMed Vaults into Top 25 Fastest Growing Health Companies

Inc. 500 recognizes Arizona telemedicine firm in its 2011 list.

Scottsdale, AZ (August 23, 2011) – GlobalMedia Group, LLC (d.b.a. – GlobalMed) - the industry-leading designer and manufacturer for hardware and software telemedicine solutions - has cracked Inc. Magazine’s 2011 list of the nation’s top 500 fastest-growing private companies.  Stating that “companies that create jobs create the future,” Inc. placed GlobalMed at Number 22 among the healthcare companies that made the list and at Number 300 overall.  The magazine based the ranking on the Scottsdale, Arizona-based company’s three year, 1,087% growth in revenues through 2010.

“Our entire staff is honored to be included in such a prestigious list, but we’ve set our goals much higher in the near term,” said Joel E. Barthelemy, Managing Director of GlobalMed. “Our sensational growth has taken place as a result of the increasing awareness of the global  convenience, cost-savings, and quality healthcare provided by telemedicine.  We believe GlobalMed can be the brand that patients and care providers can associate with the delivery of effective healthcare no matter what the distance.”

A recent analysis of the global telemedicine market indicates that it will continue to grow at around 19% a year through 2015.  Research and Markets of Dublin predicts future prospects are immense.  Manoel Coelho, GlobalMed’s Director of International Business Strategy agrees.  “The demand for telemedicine solutions outside the United States is huge as governments begin to understand how rapidly the global healthcare business model is changing,” explained Coelho.  “And they recognize the value in GlobalMed’s line of integrated telemedicine systems, including peripherals, mobile carts and image automation software that simplifies patient workflow.”
