Q: Is the ClearMic Duo compatible with Windows 7?
A: Yes. Although no official version has been released, the ClearMic has been tested across all versions of Windows 7.
Q: Is the ClearMic compatible with Windows Vista?
A: Yes the ClearMic is compatible with all versions of Vista.
Q: Is the ClearMic compatible with Mac OSX?
A: Yes the ClearMic is compatible with Mac OSX.
Q: How does the ClearMic Duo connect to my PC?
A: Connects through a USB 2.0 port.
Q: How come no drivers are available for my ClearMic Duo?
A: The drivers come pre-loaded on the device and install when plugged into a USB port.
Q: Where is the power button?
A: The device is powered via USB and when it is on and ready to use the buttons on the top light up blue.
Q: I plugged my ClearMic in and the middle blue button is blinking?
A: The middle button is the mute. When this button is flashing the device is muted. To “un-mute” simply press the middle button once and the flashing will stop, opening the microphone back up for use.
Q: Is there playback (speakers) on the ClearMic Duo?
A: Yes, the ClearMic Duo is a microphone and speaker all-in-one. It is not going to deliver heart pounding bass but provides excellent sound quality for all video conferencing calls and has built in echo-compensation technology that overcomes the challenges of feedback and echo.
Q: Can I connect external speakers to my ClearMic Duo?
A: Yes, you can connect external speakers to the back of the ClearMic Duo via a standard 3.5mm jack.
Q: Can I connect my mp3 player headphones to my ClearMic Duo?
A: Yes, the ClearMic is equipped with a 3.5mm jack for headphones or external speakers. Note: when you have headphones plugged into the ClearMic, the external speaker is disabled and the sound is now coming out the headphones.
