Q: Do I need an internet connection to use this device?
A: The device can function without an internet connection.  However, video conferencing does require a connection.

Q: The camera will not zoom out far enough. How can I get everything in the display?
A: The lens equipped in the camera is not a wide-angle lens.  A wide angle lens is available for purchase in our online store.

Q: I received my camera but I think I may be missing a cable, what is supposed to come in the box?
A: Contents of the box:  Camera, power adapter, remote control w/ batteries, RS232 cable, S-Video cable, RS-485 cable, Video cable and user manual.

Q: Is there a driver for this device?
A: The i5770 connects to a capture device. It does not use a driver.

Q: When controlling the camera with the remote it goes really fast, is there a way to slow this down?
A: There are two speed settings for the camera which can be toggled between by pressing the button on the remote labeled SPD which is located in the middle of the arrow panel.

Q:  Can the i5770 be far-end controlled?
A: Yes the camera has the capability of being controlled from the far end via RS-232 cable that is included with purchase of the camera.  Note:  the software being used must support camera control.

Q: When connecting via S-Video, I am not getting any kind of video. What should I do?
A: Capture devices will sometimes have more than one input.  Many times it will default automatically to a composite input type.  By simply changing the input source to S-Video in the software's settings will correct this.

Q: Which video formats are supported?
A: There are 380,000 effective picture elements for NTSC signal format and 440,000 effective picture elements for PAL to enable high resolution imaging.

Q: I plan on mounting the camera upside down. How can I flip the image so that it looks correct?
A: Out of box, the i5770 comes set for upright viewing.  If intended use of the camera is to be mounted upside down then the below dip set settings need to be in place to achieve this.  (Tough to view in the above image is that for “ON” the dip set switch should be down).  Double check the out of box switch settings which should all be set except for SW2 number 8, which will be turned “OFF.”  Use a paperclip or something similar to toggle the dip set switches.  Once you have verified your new dip switch settings, power the camera off and on.
