GlobalMedia Group, LLC dba GlobalMed (“GlobalMed,” “us,” “we” or “our”) created this Privacy Statement to ensure the confidence of visitors (“you” or “your”) to <globalmed.com> (the “Site”) and to demonstrate our commitment to fair information practices and the protection of your privacy. This Privacy Statement has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) is being used online. We approve third parties to collect certain information from the Site for the purpose of integrating those third-party tools with the Site. We utilize Google Analytics.

  1. Exercising Access, Data Portability, and Deletion Rights

Only you or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. You may also make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child.

  • Describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to the request.

 

We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you. We will only use personal information provided in a verifiable consumer request to verify the requestor’s identity or authority to make the request.

We endeavor to respond to a verifiable consumer request within sixty days of its receipt. If we require more time, we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing.

 

We will deliver our written response by mail or electronically, at your option.

 

Any disclosures we provide will only cover the 12-month period preceding the verifiable consumer request’s receipt. The response we provide will also explain the reasons we cannot comply with a request, if applicable.

 

We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your verifiable consumer request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will tell you why we made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) rights.

 

  1. Shine The Light Law (CA Residents only)

 

California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section § 1798.83) permits users of the Site who are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. It does this by verifying that the server to which you are connected is actually the one it claims to be. It also encrypts all transactions between the parties communicating. Encryption is the scrambling of information as it is transmitted over the Internet to protect your confidentiality. Personal information passing between your computer and/or mobile device and many of our services is encrypted. This means that while your information is in transit it is scrambled so that only we can reassemble it in its original text format. The support page form where you input your information has HTTPS automatically enabled.

 

Unfortunately, transmission of information through the Internet cannot be completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to us through the Site. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Site.

Our failure to provide notice through direct communication will not be grounds to invalidate any provision of our Privacy Statement.
