Neal Schoenbach Returns as Director of Health Systems
Virtual care veteran Neal Schoenbach returns to GlobalMed as Director of Health Systems
Sales leader rejoins GlobalMed to help health systems expand access to care wherever patients are
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Oct. 26, 2026: GlobalMed®, an international provider of digital health solutions, announced that Neal Schoenbach has rejoined the company as Director of Health Systems. In this role, Schoenbach will help health systems adopt and scale GlobalMed's virtual care technologies, strengthen partner relationships, and advance the company's mission of A World Without Disparity of Care®.
Schoenbach brings more than 15 years of virtual care sales experience to the role. During his first tenure at GlobalMed, he closed multimillion-dollar virtual care agreements with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Humana, and Mayo Clinic, helped grow the company internationally, and helped lead the sales team as both a player and a coach. He later joined Zipnosis and International SOS, where he gained a deeper view of how asynchronous care, digital front doors, and medical service delivery can bring care to patients anytime and anywhere.
"Neal knows our technology, our customers, and our mission from the inside, and he comes back with an even broader view of how care gets delivered," said Josh Botbol, GlobalMed Chief Operating Officer. "Health systems are under pressure to reach more patients with fewer resources. Neal has spent his career helping them do exactly that, and his return strengthens our ability to deliver measurable outcomes for our partners."
Schoenbach said he sees the challenge facing health systems today as one of leadership rather than technology.
“Virtual care stopped being a technology question years ago,” he said. “Today it comes down to people, process, reimbursement, accountability and clear ownership of who decides and who funds it, whether you’re a health system, a clinic, a payer or a government agency. GlobalMed has always built for that reality, and I’m excited to be back helping our partners make sure every patient can reach the right care, the moment they need it, from wherever is most appropriate.”
In addition to his role at GlobalMed, Schoenbach serves as fractional Chief Growth and Innovation Officer at the Institute for Health and Productivity Management and is the founder of AVNTRS, where he advises digital health and MedTech companies on going to market. He holds a degree in biology, chemistry, and business from the University of Arizona, where he began on a pre-med path before choosing to build a career scaling the technology that extends care to patients wherever they are.
