GlobalMed showcases their quality products and people at HIMSS19.
GlobalMed recently headed to the annual pilgrimage for healthcare IT innovators: the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference in Orlando, Florida.
As one of more than 1,300 exhibitors in the Orange County Convention Center, our booth stayed very busy with attendees who wanted to learn more about virtual care technology. We were also a featured partner in the Microsoft booth where we showcased our Transportable Exam Station and eNcounter®, our virtual care software platform, now available in the HITRUST-certified and highly secure Microsoft Azure environment. HIMSS is all about new innovations that can improve healthcare, and booth visitors were intrigued by the potential of telemedicine to improve patient care on a global scale.
One positive report came from Dr. Jayne at HIStalk, who stopped by to learn more about GlobalMed telemedicine stations. Her report: “I liked their HD camera, which helped me see in one of their staff’s ears with a picture clearer than my own otoscope at home. It also had a dermatology camera with polarizing features which helps me see deeper into the skin layers.” She also noted our international reach, saying, “They truly are a global player, in use in more than 50 countries.”
If you didn’t attend HIMSS19, you can catch up with some of our leadership interviews. In this HIMSS19 highlight interview, Dr. Dean Smith, GlobalMed CMIO, talks about how telehealth is changing the healthcare landscape and why, as both a cost-saver and life-saver, telehealth is finally a leading topic of conversation at HIMSS.
You can also hear GlobalMed’s CEO, Joel Barthelemy, discuss the trajectory of virtual care over the past decade and how virtual care is becoming more ubiquitous and saving more lives while reducing healthcare costs.
New Choices for Security, Flexibility, Simplicity, and Data Acquisition
Here are a few other topics our booth visitors wanted to hear about:
- Microsoft Partnership. In partnership with Microsoft, we are digitally transforming our business. We are increasing the speed of implementations that drive infrastructural standardization worldwide by leveraging the vast benefits of Microsoft Azure. With Microsoft, we know our customer’s data is safe in a highly secure environment with Microsoft compliance accreditations like FedRamp and HITRUST. And with cloud-based integrations, we can reduce our customers and partners time-to-revenue cycle.
- Evidence-Based Telemedicine. For some HIMSS19 attendees, the GlobalMed booth helped them realize that telemedicine goes far beyond symptoms-based video calls. Our technology has transformed virtual care delivery into a data-driven, evidence-based healthcare experience for both providers and patients. How? Our equipment helps providers obtain the data they need to define and implement an evidence-based care plan.
- Just Add Providers. Unlike with other telehealth companies, providers can use GlobalMed technology directly – with no outsourcing involved. GlobalMed empowers both the provider and patient with the most sophisticated healthcare delivery architecture on the planet. Patients can connect with doctors they already trust while providers familiar with the patient’s medical history can deliver informed care.
- Cost Simplified. We know that up-front investment in telemedicine hardware and software can be prohibitive for some providers. Now our Cost Simplified model puts telemedicine in their reach with flat fee solutions that begin at $899 a month. This means that the same technology the White House uses to provide responsible virtual care is now available to you and everyone else. All implementation, training, and support are included in the monthly fee, allowing providers to focus on their patients – and not the technology.
Whether you were a HIMSS19 visitor or not, we can provide more information or answer any questions you might have. We’re always happy to hear about your challenges and share ideas on how our technology can help you.
GlobalMed powers the world’s largest, most advanced virtual care programs and is honored to be the telehealth provider to the Department of Veterans Affairs, Defense Health Agency, and the White House. With over 15 million consults delivered in 55 countries, its virtual care platform has the Authority to Operate (ATO) on U.S. Department of Defense networks with the highest level of security and supports a patient at any point in the continuum of care. GlobalMed designs, manufactures, and deploys fully integrated software and hardware solutions that remove the barriers of technology from the business of patient care. Providers are enabled with data capturing tools to deliver evidence-based treatment and improve patient outcomes while lowering costs. Providers looking for their own technology to manage capacity, save money, and deliver responsible medicine, will get all they need from one platform. Recognizing the importance of trust and consistency in healthcare, GlobalMed also offers white-label versions of their systems so that providers can self-brand their virtual care offerings to strengthen the patient relationship with their organization.
